Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, in this opportunity, you will undertake the following:

 

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

 

  • Leverage skills, knowledge, and expertise, to provide suggestions, recommendations, and improvements to existing Infrastructure platform solutions
  • Using IT Infrastructure strategic plan and Technology Road Map as a reference, prioritize, and manage resources effectively to ensure that IT services and project execution are delivered based on set expectations and commitments
  • Provide leadership to the Platform Services team by communicating vision, strategies, and objectives.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, infrastructure "health" wellness assessment to identify risks with corrective plan to maintain secure and reliable environment
  • Lead and collaborate with offsite support organizations to deliver mission critical business system services (e.g. CISCO, DELL-EMC, Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and other Technical Services groups to determine, recommend and update strategic Infrastructure and Technology direction programs to ascertain approvals and buy-in from IT Executives and Management teams
  • Implement and sustain infrastructure standards and processes owned by IT Technical Services
  • Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services
  • Manage costs; provide financial forecasts as part of yearly costs and budget planning
  • Collaborate within group and others to implement transition program from infrastructure build and implement to run and operate
  • Work with project teams to understand system implementation details for the development of effective plans to implement on time and on budget
  • Responsible for managing local resources and offshore focused on supporting all lines of business
  • On-call availability for escalations

 

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5+ years Management/Leadership of IT infrastructure experience
  • 10+ year of previous technical / hands on experience from an IT infrastructure perspective
  • Solid experience in ITIL/ITSM best practices IT environments
  • BA/BS University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or College equivalent
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to lead and mentor direct reports
  • Strong collaboration and communication facilitation skills to manage through the often opposing demands put on infrastructure team resources by project demands
